Can I find my customer's name on my account statements?
The way in which the payments in your business are shown on your account statement is related to the way in which your customer uses the Payconiq by Bancontact app: he or she can make the payment in your business via his linked card, via his linked account and via a direct debit.
These are all three different payment methods that are technically executed according to different rules, which means that the information is shown differently on your account statement.
- With a card payment, for example, you will not see the payer's personal details, but you will see the last four digits of his card.
- When paying via the linked account, you will see the full name of the payer and his account number.
- With a direct debit you will see that the payment is made by Payconiq Stichting Derdengelden.
For every payment via Payconiq, the description contains “Payconiq”.
Your customer can always leave a message in the app if they have linked their account to our application. In your merchant portal you will always see the first name of your customer, the amount, time and the message.
