Can I continue to use the Payconiq by Bancontact app during the migration between AXA Bank and Crelan?

During the weekend of 8 and 9 June, the banking products and personal data of all AXA Bank customers will be transferred to Crelan. This will also affect the Payconiq by Bancontact app.

The good news is that you can continue to use the app, but in a limited way. From 5pm on Friday 7 June to the morning of Monday 10 June, it will not be possible to make payments  via Payconiq by scanning a QR code in physical shops, selecting a shop in the shop list or by selecting a contact via the contact list in the app. You will still be able to perform payments between friends with a QR code and make online payments when clicking on a Bancontact payment button.

Please note that due to the migration, there may be a delay in receiving payments that were made via a QR code among friends and did succeed during the weekend of 8 and 9 June. For further questions, please contact Crelan.
